there is new model coming out at the end of Feb. Don't know what model it will be, but I think it will be a softail of some sort with the New M8 loaded. Keep your eyes on the HD website as that's where it will be announced.

I don't know if Harley ever does half year models, but I had wondered if they might do one this year. It is entirely possible that softtail buyers are waiting to see the '18 M8s before making the plunge.

I hope this is true! (but not holding my breath).

HD do half year models, the S range of Softtail Slim S, Fatboy S and Lowrider S are recent examples.

The Evo release was mid year 1984. They'll do a model mid year if they'll do a motor mid year.

I'm happy with what I have and will be for a long time but it's fun to see what they come out with and hear what people say about them.....

I've heard something similar like this but I heard that the bike will completely disappear if you attempt to put anything aftermarket on it.

I too am happy and blessed to have what I have (and all paid for!) I understand some need the "latest and greatest" but I'm just not that person. I typically wait at least 5 years before I buy a new one. It seems to me that 5 years is enough time for changes in technology to be incorporated. Just my opinion and that works for me.

You, sir, understand the Harley marketing strategy.
This is why we no longer have the choices of Electra Glide Standard and Electra Glide Classic.
And why the Street Glide Special costs so much more for so much less. Sarcastically: "But I really like the clean look".
