This is my first Street Glide...some of the guys say with the Rushmore engine having the hotter cams that you need a touch more throttle compared to the previous 103" motors...
I felt that as well when first riding mine. This one needs more throttle than my old 88 Evo did. Just takes a little getting used to. The only other thing would be if the EIMTS was kicking in.
What bike did you move from? Compared to my Heritage this bike vibrates and shakes quite a bit at idle. Had to get used to it but now I barely notice. Only took a couple days.
The 2014 limited has a much higher first gear than the 2000 Ultra I came from. It needs more throttle and a slower release of the clutch from a dead stop. It still bugs me, but I am getting used to it. The bike has very nice power once you get going, but getting the bike moving from a stop is like making a jack *** move when it doesn't want to.
