Instead of having the whole tank painted, has anyone had any part of their bike pinstriped to hide a scratch.

 

id imagine itd be like a covered up tattoo. looks good, but if you get up close to it you can still see it. depending on how deep the scratch is.

 

I've seen it done MANY times and look great ... You'd have to be one nosy S.O.B. to be able to tell

 

I started striping my skunk CVO road glide due to it being knocked over and chipping the paint in the tank.


I decided to do a piece each year with one of the pinstripe artist in Sturgis. same guy, he knows I'm coming as I call and make the appointment before I head out.


Gives me an excuse to go and gives me something to look forward too each year.


Bike looks great and if you could find the original chip in the paint you would indeed be too nosey.


I'm down to my last panel this year so, I am not certain what my excuse will be going forward to attend. maybe i'll just go for fun
