Default Powdercoating your covers (Dont let this happen)

So my son just got this 2009 Glide
The covers were Powder Coated black
Looked good till we pulled the tranny cover off to replace clutch cable.

Needless to say all the covers came off,
Thank God they didnt do the rocker covers
He lucked out , the coating only bubbled, no flaking,
But you can see in one picture after I ran my finger over it , the bubble disintegrated.
Im not sure if the owner knew they shouldnt have done the inside, or if he had a shop do it all.
But Big NO NO

Sorry but I've never seen a reputable shop do the inside of covers.

Yea
Apparently the previous owner didnt know that.
Or maybe he had someone else do the tear down and powder coating for him.

Just trying to save someone else some aggravation

Wow! Crazy.
I don't see how they didn't know to not do the insides.
