Powder coat or paint chrome parts...?
Hi there,
I would like to have some chrome parts, like tank console, fuel door and so on, either painted or powder coated in ('14) vivid black. Or the equivalent in powder coat.
Any local shop in greater OKC area that can do that? I talked to a few shops today, and got the great run around. Can't do it at all. Chrome won't come of. Paint won't stick w/o acid dipping. Powder will come of. Console might warp. Cheap material, no good either way...
Not a f'n straight answer!
Soooo, any recommendations for shops, how much it would be or what to do...?
Thanks in advance.

Powder Coating Chrome Parts
I got to the point on my sled where it was starting to look like every other Deluxe on the road all chrome and very little contrast. I don't live anywhere close to you but it is very possible to Powder Coat chrome and not necessarily acid dip it. Everything you see on my bike in Orange was powder coated, some of it was chrome (front dust cover, horn cover, derby cover, ignition cover etc) and some of it was the factory harley black paint.
