My new Garage & Streetglide oversprayed
I just got back from an overseas job assignment all excited that my garage was finally completed. I spend the first day and a halve chasing momma around and whipping the yard back into shape with the son. Yesterday afternoon I pull the street glide out for a short ride and decide I will take it to the car wash to wash off the heavy dust... hmmm doesn't all wash off...
Evidently the son who was working with the guys doing the garage did not close the garage doors as he sprayed the eaves of the house and there is a fair amount of over-spray on mostly the rear of the bike, saddlebags, tailrack, seat etc. Tank very little and front of fairing pretty much nonexistent.
Paint is a latex based house paint.
What is the best safest way to get it off?
No child abuse was inflicted on the son..... but it was touch and go for a little while.... Thankfully it didn't carry in further as next bike in was a Harley Fatbob then a Ducati Monster.. they appear OK.

Wash it thoroughly ... then try a bit of "polish" on the spots first and it will probably do the trick. Then polish the rest of the scooter and follow with a good wax ( the polish doesn't offer any real paint protection). If the polish doesn't do the trick use something like a "Scratch and Swirl" remover then polish, then wax. Have your son help and make it a "bonding" experience. Be thankful it's not B L A C K too.
