Default Wax Types

Here is another question regarding waxes. After looking at the Meguiars products I noticed that the smae waxes can be purchased in different forms. For example, the Meguiars Next Generation NXT wax products can be purchased as a paste, in a bottle as a soft liquid, and also as a spray wax. Is there a difference in the results from one to the next? Which one from your experiences seems to work the best on Motorcycles?

For cars, the paste always pissed me off because if it got into nooks & crannies it was very difficult to get out. It was also hard to clean off of plastic surfaces and raised decals. Any strong opinions either way?

I don't know too much about the NXT line since I have not used it much but I can tell you that USUALLY the spray wax items are quick detailers with a little bit of carnauba or selant in them. They are great to use to freshen up the paint between full waxes.

I have not used the Meguiar's products you have described. Personally I use and like the P21S wax and before that I use their GEPC (gloss enhancing paint cleanser) which is actually a polish on my bike. These products are available online or thru most Harley dealers and are priced right. The great thing about both of these products is that they leave no residue that gets stuck in decals, moldings, or crevices like you described. The wax is a paste and the polish is a liquid. Also what is nice about the wax that it is so easy to apply/remove, you don't need a spray quick detailer that you can remove and apply that fast. After washing. this wax beads nicely and will last about 3 months.

Talked with one of the tech's for PPG when I worked in the paint shop at GM and he said the best protection for your paint is Blue Coral, he said most of the better products work pretty much the same, I like some of the McGuires products and will be trying some new stuff, as for the Blue Coral I would have to agree with the Tech, we applied it to an older Grand Am and WOW, it works extremely well, use an orbital buffing wheel to polish.
