Default bike acts up while trying to accelerate quickly

I have a 2009 chopper with a fxstb motor and drivetrain, primo 3" open primary, 300mm rear tire. while im riding my bike accelerates smoothly until i crack into the throttle... then it feels like my primary is slipping. makes my bike feel like it it jumping up and down, tension on the belt and chains is correct. could this be my clutch is out of adjustment? any help would be greatly appreciated

mark, thanks for the quick reply. im new to the open primary scene, I saw a few threads on here about clutch adjustment, when I squeeze my clutch lever the clutch basket should stop spinning while in neutral, and barely spin while handle is released correct?

In your case this sounds like a slipping issue, there is a sticky thread in this section that explains clutch adjustment. The only thing that could be wrong with your adjustment is that there is not enough free play and the clutch is disengaging when it is not suppose to.How many miles are on this clutch? The plates may be worn or warped. It also may be that this clutch does not have enough spring pressure. Are you the original owner of this bike? Has this problem always been present?
