Question Hayden M6 Chain Tensioner

Hi everybody....

I have heard some good and bad things about this tensioner and I was wondering what are your personal experiences with it.

I set a new one on my bike (Electra 2010) and so far It´s working fine, but as I´ve seen some of them completely broken, I´m starting to worry a little about it.

So it would be nice and useful if anyone who´s got it installed share their opinions....

Its a relief to hear that.

I had to replace my inner primary bearing recent ago and I decided to give a go to the M6, because I read quite a few bad things about the stock auto-tensioner pushing the chain too tight.

Now Im waiting to receive the new compensator SE 42200064A from the dealer to change mine which is crap, It´s unbelievable that HD makes parts so expensive and so weak at the same time.

All is well with mine on 106 and SE Comp. Smoother shifts than the stock tensioner. When I insatlled mine I didn't need to us any shims as my primary chain was to their spec at 10k miles on it.

My wife's dyna had the stock chain tensioner take out the IPB, and I had installed the Baker bearing. I tried the M6, and it was smoother shifting but noisy the whole time. Had about 14,000 miles on it and took primary cover off and the shoe was worn and pitted.

Installed the Baker Attitude adjuster for the coming season so hoping this will work better.
