Default jack shaft problem

Have a S&S motor with 6 speed tranny and Spyke starter. The jack shaft which is also used on Harleys is spinning once it engages flywheel. I spoken with Spyke and they can't figure out what is wrong. I have a new battery fully charged. The jackshaft comes out and engages the flywheel but only the center bolt turns. I have checked the starter and that comes out the correct distance. The center shaft doesn't fully engage into the large bushing. I tried putting a washer inside the coupler to extend the center shaft but still have the problem. I do see some sparks coming out behind the large keyed bushing and I do some wear on the gear teeth. Any suggestions on how to fix.

Sounds like the splines on the starter motor maybe shot.

The bolt holds the jack shaft to the starter but if the bolt turns and the jackshaft doesnt move then the splines are bad.

Default jackshaft drawing

See drawing attached. The center shaft with the center gear is not fully engaging into the the large bearing with internal teeth. I can see wear marks on the bearing. The splines on the starter, center shaft and coupler look good. As stated in first post the bolt continental to rotate but the main gear to the flywheel stops. I hate to order a new jackshaft assembly that may not correct the problem. Hope the drawing helps.
