Default Side Cover broken bolt

I have a 2008 Fatbob. This weekend I found a broken bolt on the side cover where the exhaust bracket mounts too. Can some confirm my suspicion that I can't just remove the side cover to remove the broken bolt? I think there's enough of the bolt left to get some pliers on the bolt to remove it. Maybe time to upgrade to a DD7. Lol

There is a special tool (I think maybe Jims but I'm not sure) that allows you to replace the trap door bearings without pulling the gear pack. I did several trap does with it years ago at my friends shop. Otherwise you are correct, you can't just unbolt it and take the cover off.

a DD7 will fix that broken bolt, and everything else that's wrong with the HD trans.

Thats the best way to fix it. I broke a bold on my cam cover and fixed it with a 124"er.
