shifting problem
a couple of hundred miles ago I started having issues w/upshiftring, have 6 speed, seemed like from 3rd on I hit a wall and had to give it gas and pull up a couple of times to get it to engage, then it seemed I had to give it gas to downshift. Noticed yesterday that the shift arm, the one on the tranny, have fl, was loose and sloppy, don't know if that means anything, have adjusted clutch and I don't think that is the problem, tranny has about 2,500 miles. Bent shift fork ? Thanks in advance

For anyone that is interested, I found that the locknut that holds the adjustment screw for doing the 3rd gear /pawl adjustement came loose, those damn 127's vibrate a lot, and allowed the screw to back out. My shift arm, the one that comes directly off the tranny, had 1"+ movement forward and spring back but had no movement back or towards the rear tire. With the help, once again, of John from M.I.A. Cycles NY, a forum member, I was able to adjust the pawl back to where it should be, it will be necessary to remove the top of the tranny, which involves removing the starter, which is a good Wi. winter project, to really fine tune the pawl. This bike has been a real good learning experience.
