Default spacer on compensator nut?

Putting my 99 TC back together and my Clymer manual references a spacer right behind the compensator nut-It says " 99 and 2000 model years only" Pretty sure there wasnt one there when i took it apart. Anyone confirm that there should or should not be one? and if so, what thickness ?

Thank you

They have different thicknesses as required. Good time to upgrade to a 45 amp charging setup whilst you have it apart. As a side note, the HD manual is the only way to go.

There was a good discussion about this a couple weeks ago. See link:https://www.hdforums.com/forum/engin...ut-5-500k.html
