Default Nascar Talladega Event

I'm very open to all information regarding attending this event. Do they have motorcycle parking? If they do not, is there some sort of mass transit? Motels where to stay? We are interested in race day only.

All information that helps us to plan this trip (May third) is most welcome.

MC parking is up by the entrance where turn one is. As for as a motel, there's the regular chain motels in Oxford, AL only about 10 miles from the track. Better start reserving now though if it's not already to late. Son and I went last spring and did the free camping deal. Had a blast but after staying up late, slept through half the race.

The best view of the track, IMO, is in the Tower. The upper level of the grandstand. You still can barely see the backstretch. We camped twice a year for many years. Major party in the free camping. Shuttles run to the track.

I've been to the fall race a couple of times, never on a bike though. We always stayed in Douglasville outside of Atlanta. It was 80 miles to the track. It seemed anything closer to the track was pretty costly. I think camping out in the infield would be a blast. I've heard it is wild. Also try to get your seats up as high as you can to see the whole track. It's a fun race to go to.

Never been to the track but traveled down there many times for work. I have stayed in Leeds which isn't too far away. While you are there stop at Barber Motorsports, well worth the time. I have been several times and it always amazes me.

Is that MC parking sufficient? I mean, what are the chances I get there and it is full? Do I need to book MC parking?

I've been several times and their has always been sufficient parking. I might also mention that I have never had any problems with anything missing off the bike, since I had all the camping gear and personal items packed up and tied down on the bike. I do however lock the forks and ign.
