Default Sturgis 2015

Those that have been to Sturgis before, where do you recommend staying? A couple of years ago we stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel in Keystone, wasn't bad, definitely affordable. This summer we are renting a house outside of Nemo. Hopefully a little more centralized.

When we were there in 2011 part of the time we stayed at the Super 8 in Deadwood. I liked it there and it was close to what was going on downtown Deadwood. Just for the heck of it, since it was our first time there, we also did a little camping on The Chip and didn't have any issues there at all. In fact, it was kind of fun experiencing both the hotel and the camping thing but to each their own.

Always stay in Deadwood the week prior. Never been for actual bike week.

If you've already renting a house is there a reason why you looking for recommendations?

If you just putting the question out there then my answer is; for this year if you haven't already booked your lodging then you'll need either a big bank account or a good tent.

camping at hog heaven was pretty nice. really close to the strip in sturgis. nice facilities. and really quiet. there was no one revving up bikes all the time. even when it rained the road was still good and barely got any mud on the bike

You should stay at the Buffalo Chip. That's about as central to the action as you can get.

Yup! Was there last year and it was great, but this year, the only available spots are if you have a pup tent.

Once again, we scored an AWESOME site for our group. Nice big reserved site, private crapper, and lots of room for more shenanigans! LOL!
