Rode from Clinton to Dubuque 2 days ago on the Ill side and it was a great ride. A little slow through Savanna because of the new bridge going in. Down to 1 lane with flaggers. Other than that, a great ride. From Dubuque I would ride the Iowa side up to Prairie de Chien and then back to the Wisconsin side and north. If you want to stop at JP Cycle, go from Savanna to Maquoketa (after stopping at Poopys) to Anamosa. From there to Monticello up 151 to Dyersville and back north

 

You are in the perfect area to go rte 61 all the way down to rte 30 go east to the Illinois side and up 64 stopping at Poppy's in Savanna Il. It is a big biker bar with the best hamburgers going. Try the 1 pounder.
