We're taking a long trip down the west coast, then over to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Little Big Horn and over to Sturgis - NOT for the rally - and then heading back to Lexington, Kentucky and home to Jamestown, Tennessee.

Any thoughts on what to see or for great rides from Sturgis SE to Kentucky?

The Bourbon Trail is a nice ride in KY. Even if you don't stop in for a sniff. The area around Woodford Reserve is quiet and beautiful.

 

The Badlands are very unique as well and good for a quick side trip.

 

See America. I hope your not planning on riding 500 plus miles a day. You do get to ride a **** load, but your not stopping and enjoying what's left of our country. I just took a five day trip for a total of 1,076 miles. And I must say not only was I rested when I came home, but I got to ride my new bike and enjoy coffee at dives, saw some beautiful scenery, and meet some nice folks.
