Hey folks, I'm finding that places (hotels/motels/cabins) are already sold out for Sturgis 2015!
And, yet other places won't take reservations until JAN 2015!

hubby and I plan to get our camping passes when they release them next august so a year in advance but that is mainly because they increase in cost the closer to the rally.

@ rossn2
That's gonna be about 350 mi +- of nice country. Can be done in a long day.
That's Spearfish to Red lodge MT. Red Lodge to Cooke City (Beartooth Pass) Half day ride but worth it.

We are also planning. Riding in from Washington state but grew up in Alliance, Ne which looks like you are going to go threw. Check out Car henge and Dobbies frontier town on your way threw the town.

UPDATE: We have put deposit down on a house in Custer (same place we stayed for #73).

We have 3 couples coming from SB, IN, and another 3 or so couples coming from Vista, CA, all meeting up in Leads area.

It was hard to find a place to stay - either they were not taking reservations this early OR it was booked OR they wanted WAY too much money for the 75th (like double their normal Rally rates!). We did finally get lucky, looks like we are staying up in the Terry Peak Ski Area.

Anyone been up there? Anyone stayed up there? Its a new cabin at least, well it will be two years old by the time we stay in it. ;-)

We did Sturgis in 2012, had a good time! We come towards the end, see "Sturgis" then everyone leaves and we get to ride to all the cool sights with no traffic.

BTW - what is/was 4 corners? When we got there, there was NOTHING, just a podunk post-office? Did we hit the right place?

We saw Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, Stone House Bar, Needles Hwy, BadLands, Wall Drug. Anything other suggestions or places we should check out while there in 2015?

We're in the planning stage already too.
We've got 2 cabins booked at Eagles Landing. They each have 2 queen bedrooms and bathrooms. At this point we've only got 1 bedroom left. 4 of us are confirmed c/w deposits sent.
It will be all of ours FIRST Sturgis Rally.

We're actually going at the end of June this year to ride the Black Hills as the traffic will hopefully be lighter. Hoping to run the Bears Tooth on the way home too. Should be close to 2,100 miles round trip.
