Attached below is our route. I am hoping we are not biting off too much, as we have members trailering to the starting point from as far as 35 miles away. Luckily there is a Ramada Inn nearby.

Interstate riding has got to be the most boring mind numbing thing you could do on a motorcycle. However, after having just completed an Iron Butt on my sporty, I understand the need for those that do a lot of interstate riding, for huge bikes with recliners for seats and fairings and windshields the size of barn doors. Ill never do it again, Ill stick to 200-300 mile days in the back roads of the country where I actually use the controls of my bike and actually see things and talk to people

An extra day??? l'd have thought a journey such as this would be two days anyway.....

For local rides I like 120 to 180 mile runs. On trips I go 800 to 1,000 routinely. I'm on the downhill slide to 74. Maybe when I get old I will have to cut down on the miles.

Last year I did the 861 miles to Sturgis in one day and back also on my Sportster just for the fun of it. I do have 5 touring machines in the garage. Whoops 6 must be getting old. I forgot the 14 Road King that I added last fall.
