Default Denver - Jackson Hole

Just back today, 1130 miles, Denver to Jackson Hole via Steamboat Springs. Fantastic trip! My g/f's first longer than an overnight, she held up well. Great weather, wide range of temps in that part of the world, but hardly any rain. I was hyper-vigilant of critters the whole way, and of course it wasn't until 3 miles from the house today that two deer ran across 15 feet in front of me. I will say this...WY has it's stunning highlights, but it also has VAST miles of nothing. Loved every minute none the less.

That is gorgeous country. I'd go crazy and get fired the first week (because of playing hooky) if I lived and worked in Denver. There's too much good riding nearby.

Maybe she's ready for a longer ride now.

Glad you had a nice trip. You are definitely right about WY....unless you count miles of sage brush and antelope as something! The antelope are so used to travelers that they just lay there near the road.
Got more pics?

Wife and I are leaving for Jackson hole Tuesday (7-29) Looking forward to the trip, although the forecast looks like we might hit some rain while we are up there.
Probably swing up and take a look at Ol' Faithful.
