Took a trip up to Maine from NJ the other day and it was an awesome trip. We took the NY Thruway (I-87) north to Albany then cut right, through Vermont and New Hampshire. We rode the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire and it was an amazing ride. Even saw a moose on the side of the road. We ended in Portland, ME but unfortunately had bad weather there so came home a day early. All in all, a great ride and 918 miles in two days.
This was my first long distance trip on my Bob and it wasn't bad at all. I didn't feel uncomfortable once, using a stock 2-up seat.
Glad you got to enjoy (somewhat) a little piece of our state. Kangamangus is a pretty ride. Only other thing that could have been better, weather depending, would have been Mt. Washington.

We thought about doing that but the weather forecast was pretty crappy and in the small amount of research I did, if the weather isn't almost perfect, it will be a miserable ride to the top.
Your killin me!! Lie to me and say its horrible! Lol
Ok, it really sucks...... Ahhhhhh, I can't do it.. It is good riding. We rode down to Bar Harbor a couple weeks ago and it is a great ride. You will have to hit it on your next trip.
And you are right about Mt. Washington, crappy on bottom is really crappy on top.

And like JT said, nice looking ride!
Thanks for the compliment! Now I'm gonna have to head back up! While sitting in our motel room on Wednesday night, weather channel made it sound like the storm of the century was coming so we decided to head out a day early. Now I'm kickin myself in the a$$ cuz it seems as though we would have been fine.
