Default Right octane gas for Harleys?

Hi everybody!

This may sound like a stupid question… but what octane gas do you fill your bikes with?

I Europe every single gas station has 95 and 98. If I remember correctly in the USA every gas company has slightly different octane gas.

BTW, I'll ship over there and ride my European 2012 RK Classic for a 1 month trip.

Thank you.

I fill with the highest octane the store caries whether it's 87 or 93. Never had a problem with any of it

I try run 91 if I can. Just a head's up for those heading to Sturgis from the East. The BP at Murdo had switched over to E-gas the last trip through. The Shell across the road still has the good stuff.

I run 93 in mine, that's what it calls for. In a pinch, I'll run 89 if I know I'll burn right through it on a road trip.

Usually the lowest octane possible but in the summer I run mid grade.

In Michigan 91-93 is the normal premium octane level depending on the station.

Everywhere I've been is the same with the exception of a few small independent stations. I always get the highest they have. Know of some other people who don't.

I have run 85, 87, and 91. I believe they are all fine as long as there is no ethonal in it. I know Kennebec only has ethonal
