Have a Midwest 32A stator and regulator - two prong - no install directions - does it matter which way the reg plugs into the stator socket? It is symmetric - I don;t think it does cause it is AC but I am unsure and I have not built a non-generator bike in 10 years

 

Being an alternator, it makes AC. So, No matter.

 

what ever way works for your combo is fine
