Default High Cranking AGM Battery for Shovelhead Stroker

I need a battery for my 93"Stroker ShovelHead. I bought the Scorpion 380 CCA YIx28L replaces the Yuasa-YHD-12H (280 CCA) and it did not last. I have All ***** starter that needs at least 300 CCA and thought the Scorpion 380 CCA would do the trick,so I need to find a replacement battery that will fit the 1980 FLH big battery box L 8"1/2 W 5" 1/4 and H 6" 1/2. I tried looking but the few I found had bad reviews.Sure can use your help!. Thank you

Not sure maybe 10-1? Its a 93" SS Stroker with SS Heads and redshift cam. I was using the Yuasa YHD-12H 280 CCA battery but after I upgraded to the all ***** starter I bought the Scorpion 380 CCA YIx28L and for some reason they don't last.Thank you

Ok. I'm assuming your not running compression releases which would make life much easier and starter last longer.have you looked on jp cycles site at the batterys that will fit your tray?ive personally never had much with yusa battery's

Right, no compression release and yes checked JP no luck. Remember I need at least 300 CCA and would like AGM sealed but can't find one with good reviews and the Scorpion is from BatteryStuff.com and did not last.Thank you

Thank you I checked their website and looks like they don't have the horizontal ears ( Pos and Neg). On the 1980 FLH battery is inclosed in a battery box so size and ears are important.Yuasa YHD-12H and the Scorpion YIX28L are correct size with the ears. Still looking

I never used a battery with ears on my 79... you can use smaller batteries as long as you use something to keep them from moving
