Default Help!!!

I have a 1983 Shovel, I took it out for a ride this evening and when I got it home in the garage it stalled. I hit the starter switch and it would not engage the motor. It also has a kicker on it and when I kick it, it is not engaging the motor either. Both worked earlier this evening. Where do I start trouble shooting this problem? Thanks in advance! And how do I post a pic of the bike on here?

Sounds like the clutch is not engaging.

That would affect the electric as well as the kicker?

You running a belt Belt primary ? Could be a few things but I'd start with the simple stuff like checking the cable & clutch adjustments , then pop the inspection cover and have a look. You feel anything at all running the kicker arm through ?

This bike has an internal belt driven primary as well as a belt driven rear wheel. it feels like there is a shaft turning inside with a sheared key. That's the only way I know how to describe it. The kick pushes down but doesn't feel like its even trying to engage anything inside. It returns to the top just as it always did though. The electric start does same thing, it activates the starter but acts like there is nothing hooked to it inside. I could make a quick video if there is a way to upload it.

Need to look in the primary you probably popped the belt, pull the middle inspection cover and take a look. If the belts intact hit the starter button and see if it moves.

That's what it looks like when your get up and go has got up and went.

Here's a link that might help. http://beltdrives.com/

Mine has a Primo. You might have a number on the belt that can be matched up
