Accelerator pump isn't going to cause a flat spot at speed , your chasing your tail with that one.

take a look at the air bleed (inside the carb) make sure its open and not clogged - this will cause a flat spot and its why they went to putting a jet in there so you can adjust the air -

twisted is correct -- the accel pump wont make it do any of the above -- me? I turn the damn thing off -- its only good to me in cold weather --

its sounds like its flooding some place -- does it have that super tiny lil "O" ring on the accell pump nozzle? the one that stick through inside the carb =

if that's missing it can cause fuel to flood the engine

look at this link -- scroll down till you find this " New O-ring in place, don't forget."

You guys were right, rebuilding the accelerator pump didn't do anything. But I had the rebuild kit and it only took a few minutes. The air bleed looks good. I always make sure that the little blue o-ring is on when putting the bowl back on. But, I made some progress. I retarded the timing a bit with the module (it's almost all the way CCW now, which is just CW of where the light goes off) and I went up to a 70 main jet. I always test the bike on the same stretch of uphill highway near may house. A bit more power going up the hill. I don't know if the timing was too advanced or the jet change did it. I should have done them one at a time, but I was getting short on time. Also, most of the fuel spray went away. The next thing that I try will be to go to the next less aggressive advance curve and see if it makes a change. Thanks for all of the advice.
