Default Wiring a 77 low rider

Hey guys looking to rewire my 1977 lowrider fxs from scratch with turn signals. When I got it the bike was a mess electrically. Looking to do it right and nicely. Any help or diagrams would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
j

Good luck.
I have done Many...LMK if you get jammed up...
By all Means...use the stock color code...it will pay off...

Thanks for for the help, first time doing this. Do you have any recommendations on what to use for wire or the relays?
Just regular 12wire?

Default Simple Wiring Diagram

Here's one that I've used. No turn signals, but that's not too hard to add.

I do not like non Stock Wiring...not one bit. Wouldn't work on 'em when we had our Shop!!
I don't really remember the gauge wire off hand...CRS ...
we had it by the 100 ft roll back when...
I know that we did not use the same size everywhere..Smaller in handlebars, and larger for "feed" lines..

12ga. for main power wires to the switch, headlight, circuit breakers and relays and 16ga for the rest and you can get 25' rolls of color correct wire from several sources online including ebay.

Second option would be just buying a pre wired handlebar extension loom . They are cheap enough.

Those Numbers Sound Large by my memory...What is left of it!!
I agree with the pre-wired extended loom..
Unless you are truly "good" the switches will give you fits...the looms have them already wired in!!!

The usual imported 16ga you get now is comparable to old US made 18ga it's really cheesy on the gauge sizes anymore.

Save yourself a lot of headache and just buy an aftermarket wiring harness.

All the work is done, all the wires are labeled...and you gain cool features like self canceling turn signals, and 4 way flashers.
