I have to say that the simplicity of this vs the old set up made me suspicious that maybe I didn't have all the parts but obviously it was designed that way.

Although I have already set the whole thing up I am still waiting for a clutch hub nut seal to be delivered (the bit that went wrong and set this whole thing off) so when I get that I will do the pic/description thing and post here. I have done this before on other forums (for cars) so should be OK.

This weekend hopefully!

I have an instruction sheet for another brand name set up and the adjustment procedures are exactly the same . I'm not having any luck getting a decent copy to come over so PM me and I'll send you a PDF file by email .

Hi All,

Quick update. Have set the clutch according to the instructions you all gave and it works perfectly. It took all of 15 mins to do with just one 14mm spanner and a screwdrvier - could not be simpler!

Thank you very much!

However: I have a new problem which I will put in a new thread... "Oil leak - electronic compensating sprocket??"

Once that is done, I will do a running report and photo montage on how to put the entire primary side on a '78 FLH together.

Cheers
Paul

Default parts

Hi all,
I read this post and would like to convert mine as its apart now, does anyone have part numbers?
I'm assuming you need to change the whole basket to move to the 5 finger ?

Cheers,
Pat

This is the one I bought and used (make sure it fits yours):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DIAPH...Q5fAccessories

Gets you all the parts you need.

Use your old clutch basket and clutch pressure plates and steel rings. I'd advise you to buy a new clutch hub nut seal (as you are in there) and remember the clutch hub nut is a LH thread!

Good luck!
Paul
