Anyone out there know how to setup a ratchet top with a foot clutch? I got a hand shift ready to go but not sure how to link up to the tranny with foot clutch. Anyone make linkage for this?
Here's a pic of a jockey shifter on a ratchet, just a small plate of steel with a handle. Get an old style heal and toe clutch pedal, easy to set up, easy to use.
If you want to be hard core, run a suicide clutch with a chain pull, and no front brake.
Yeh, but without more info its hard to help. Is bike electric or kick start? Shifter pedal can be used for clutch. I use a rod directly from brake pedal (was shifter) to clutch arm.

both but im not using the elec start. I think i have to shorten the kicker arm though otherwise it is gonna hit the ground when i kick it over
Measure a couple buddies kicker arm lengths before you cut anything , 1 inch longer arms where real common back in the day and you may have one if so swap with somebody or look for an old panhead kick arm they where a bit shorter .

Keep mainly to myself, so nobody I know has a kicker to measure. Mine should work. I'm custom building a bike and without the motor I am only 3" off the ground to the bottom of the frame.
Use your rear foot brake as the reservoir for a hydraulic right foot clutch.
you will need to pick up a hydraulic kick cover to replace the one you have. Primo is making the ART cover as well as Sputhe. You run your rear brake in your right hand.
plumb it, bleed it down and roll..
