Hey gentleman. I have an 81 fxe with and electric or kickstart. Battery died bc I left the ignition on. It was down to 5 volts. It wouldnt kick over at all. Shouldnt the bike kick on a dead battery ?

My '75 FXE used to kick and push button start but if the battery is dead, there's no spark for the plugs.

An electronic ignition needs a minimum voltage to work. I believe it's around 10.5.
