Solenoids sticking that often it's a sign your starter brushes are about gone , only reason they cook like that is drawing too much amperage . Main causes of that are loose or corroded cables or the starter is on it's last legs.

Dang...it's a pretty new starter on there, guy I bought bike from over a year ago said he had put in the new starter about a year 'n a half before I bought it. Allballs.

Will start keeping an eye out for another starter.....got 2x big swap meets coming up....Stafford Springs CT and Keene NH.

Neighbor down the road from me gave me an Accel solenoid rebuild kit yesterday...finally met him a few months ago even though I lived here for 5 years. He's usually touring the country on his bike and gives long distance tours...hence why I don't see him much 'cept in the summer around here. Literally pretty much lives on his bike...bet he's met a lot of people on this forum.

Problem with "today's" Accel is that they no longer are made in America parts, which translates to being made in some 3rd world $hithole country by some schmuck making a buck a day.

All ***** sells a kit as well as a solenoid. Comes out of Brazil I believe. I use theirs and so far it hasn't been an issue (almost 6K on my 84 FLH since installation).

If it's got the AllBalls already I'd be looking at the cables first and if it keeps acting up may be time to take a hard look at the mechanicals and how deep ( or not ) the the bendix is engaging in the ring gear. Sometimes things can get a little chewed and it doesn't allow the contacts in the solenoid to pull in solidly which starts the arcing and sticking issue.

Accel used to be the go to name for this stuff but they went cheapass just like everybody else a number of years ago. As Panz said try AllBalls again , Amazon carries them.
