So after years on smaller bikes, some time recently on a generous 'hand-me-down' Street Triple (incredible bike, not at all my kind of bike), and some pretty disappointing test rides on some 'other' bikes... I was instantly sold on the Sportster after an hour on a Forty-Eight.

When I'm doing a 5 mile round trip each day, in traffic, maxing 20mph, the character of the Harley made it a no-brainer.

So, a black Forty-Eight, Stage 1 (V&H Grenade / Short Shots) side mounted plate and stripped of all it's orange reflectors should be arriving in a couple of weeks.

Already beyond excited.

 

Congratulations. My first Harley was a 2009 Sportster 1200 Low.


I wish I still had that bike.

 

Be prepared for people stopping and looking at it and giving their complements, something you never got on all of those "other" bikes.
