Had a 2004 Fatboy. The seat was the first thing to go. Waiting on my 2017 Fatboy and was wondering if they have made any improvements on the seat comfort.
Test rode a 2017 SG last Saturday and the seat was pretty cushy. Felt like I could ride that thing all day...
Couldn't tell ya about the Fatboy. Probably hasn't changed much...
The stock 2017 Fat Boy seat looks really similar to the stock 2017 Softail Slim seat (which I own). Personally, I really like the stock Slim seat (I wish it came in leather) , but I seem to be in the minority on that one.
I have a 2011 and find the stock seat much more comfortable to most other stock seats I've encountered. It's really hard to say it sucks after owning a 48.
I really like the stock 2015 Fat Boy seat, which I believe is identical to the 2017. I swapped it out for the Ultimate Softail Seat but only because I wanted the backrest. If you don't want a backrest I am guessing that you will like the stock seat on your FB. Seats are, of course, an individual thing.
Whatever you decide.... stay away from Corbin. Just got mine in the mail 2 days ago and they shipped it brand new from the factory with a bloody tear in the leather. Now they want me to pay the shipping to return it to them for repair. I should have listened to all the reviews on these guys.
