Service dept.: "You're not supposed to use the heel shifter all the time"
In trying to get my first to second gear shifting working properly on my 2015 FLHXS, the service manager just told me on the phone that the problem is because I use the heel shifter all the time.
Previous thread with my issue: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...ear-a-lot.html
He says at "your motorcycle class I instructor should have told you not to use the heel shifter except once in a while because it's not designed for that."
I laughed out loud at this guy and told him to show me that in writing someplace... any place! His answer was that the shiftter is only designed for a certain amount of force and that heel shifting exceeds that. I guess I need to measure the EXACT force I shift with now?
This is Killer Creek in Roswell for those of you who will undoubtedly ask.
This kind of nonsense is why dealers are so loathed.
