Default 2008 Fatboy wont start... No Power

when I try to start my fatboy, after turning on the ignition and flipping the switch to run, I press the start switch and I hear a click and the power cuts off, totally dead. If I wait about 10-15 minutes, power comes back, but if I try to start, click and power goes out. I seem to think its the starter or starter solenoid... Any thoughts???

Also, does anyone have any links to starter replacement videos or how to replace the starter and/or solenoid?

I have an HD manual, but advise is always appreciated.

Start with the simple..... Sounds like the battery. Check the connections.. Take them off, clean them and reinstall..... Then break out the voltage meter.

Try swapping the two relays and see if that makes a difference. Clicking is usually a dead battery. Do you keep the bike on a tender? There could be some sort of draw on the system that is causing the battery to go dead.

Yes, I do keep it on a tender. I was riding all day Saturday. When I got home sat evening, I rode it up to the garage door and shut it down, when inside to open the door. When I went to start the bike again, the starter turned twice and then it died, no power at all, had to push the bike in. Went back out 15 min later and when I turned the ignition on, the lights turned on, and when I set the kill switch to run, the fuel pump primed, but when I hit the start switch, it clicked and all power cut out, like it popped a circuit. It been suggested that the solenoid might be the culprit.

Could be the stator or voltage regulator judging from the description. It sounds like the battery is not charging.

Battery is brand new... I bought it 4 weeks ago and have been kept it on a tender when the bike is not in use. I rode the bike all day Saturday on a poker run and had no issues starting until I got home. I checked the charge on the battery and it is good. I'm inclined to think its either the voltage regulator, starter or the solenoid.
