Default Lowers and a windshield

Maybe I am missing something but the MoCo says their Lowers will work with the quick detach windshield. Not on my bike. If you have a FatBoy and are using a quick release w/s AND the chrome lowers please let me know if/how it works for you. close up pics would be appreciated too!

Do you mean the chrome fangs that mount on the forks? If so, what brand are you using?

Thought I remember reading that it only works for bikes that have the "quick detach" mount system. ie. Permanently mounted hardware on your trees that the windshield clips to. I looked into these myself as I get some pretty bad buffeting from my quick detach windshield.

They do fit, I used them with a shield and now with a fairing. They simply bolt on. What are they hitting, where is their not enough clearance. Pics may help?

I've got the Harley lower wind deflectors on my 2013 Fatboy. The made a HUGE difference with the buffeting after I installed the detachable windshield. I can actually wear my regular glasses now instead of goggles....and a regular baseball cap without having to wear it backwards !!! I slotted the mounting holes so that I don't have to completely take of the windshields docking screws, just loosen them up and slide the deflector out.

I hope you can see them alright. Here's a picture of the top and bottom slot. Hard to see because they're still on the bike.

Awesome! I've considered slotting mine as well. My only concern was is one of the bolts comes loose the wind would send it flying.

Actually the force of the wind would hold it in place. If that was the case wouldn't your detachable windshield would go flying too
