Default Oil leak on 103..

I noticed some oil on the tank last nite and wiped it off,was just a little.I thought it may be just a loose cap.Today after 100 mile ride I noticed it again, and it was coming off rear head. Its got 13k on it.So off to dealer on Monday.. Anyone else have this? I know Its not a big deal, just curious.

After every ride on my Deuce I would notice oil on my oil tank, thought it was coming from my dipstick. Come to find out it was coming from my rearmost head bolt. Tightnened it up, no more oil on my tank.

It is probably coming from the back breather bolt near your air filter. The blow by from the engine goes into the air filter, and there are orings in there that seal it. These get worn or something and small amounts of oil will seep out of the crack. then it runs in between the fins on the head, and the wind pushes it back onto your oil tank.

Yep same here. Now, I did have an actual oil leak on my 103 at the block. Bike was at the dealer for a damn month last year during prime riding season, but they took care of it.

My brake ressi on the handlebars has been leaking a little too. I tightened the screws a touch but have seen it again since then. Anyone else have this? Dealer top off with first service?

It leaks because it is overtightened and not clean. Take the screws out. There is the cap, and then a rubber cap under that. Clean them both real good as well as the top edges of the resi that make contact with the rubber. Put it back together and just snug the bolts. Watch that the rubber does not bulge when you do this.
Overtightening the bolts causes the gasket to bulge out and allows the fluid to leak past. Also when it is opened and not cleaned the fluid that is between the rubber and metal allows a path for fluid to seep from.
