Default V&H straight shots slip ons for Heritage?

I'm looking for a bit more sound than the stockers on my 2K Heritage. I don't want crazy loud pipes...just a bit louder nice mellow rumble. Would the V&H fit the bill? I know they also make quite baffles. Anyone have them? Opinions? Thanks!

I have them on my FatBoy, they sound good but they ARE loud. I bought the quiet baffles but haven't installed them yet.

Take a look at the Khrome Werks 3" slip ons.

I'm not sure what the 2000 pipes look like but the tapered look and fit exactly like stock. They are louder than stock but not as loud as the V&H.

They have a nice deep rumble kind of like the old glass pack mufflers.

There are a lot of sound bites on YouTube.

I've got the straightshots on my deluxe. I found the standard baffle to be quite loud and having sort of a tinny sound at high rpm. I switched to quiet baffles and really like them a lot. Still plenty loud when you really get on it, but has a nice deep rumble at idle and cruising around.

I have Rush slip-ons on mine. I like them OK but would like a deeper sound. Might try Rhineharts

I have a set on e-bay with quiet baffles right now. They sound nice, not too loud or tinny like the orignals. Going with a 2-1 pro pipe. Will get the ad number if interested if they will fit.

They are loud, even with the quiet baffle option. A 2" baffle will be a deeper rumble and louder then a 1.5" or a 1.75" and these will have less of a deep sound. Your best bet is to take your stock mufflers and have them rebaffled at American Custom Exhaust, a sponsor here. They have sound clips on their website and they are a sponsor at this forum. They have 3 sound options available.
