Handlebar swap help for 04 FatBoy
Greetings from chitown,
I have an 04 FatBoy that I recently aquired and I need to change the bars to something a bit further out and more comfortable.
I've never done an internally wired swap so I'm in need of assistance And guidance.
There will be no need for changing length of any wires or cables. New bars are essentially the same length, just a different shape.
I have a service manual but it doesn't have anything in there for bar r&r ...
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
The Doberdewd ...

well where are you having problems?
either 1) try to get the wires to release from the end-clips, pull them out of the bars, run them through the new bars, and re-clip them.. or 2) cut the ends of the wires, pull them out of the bars, run them through the new bars, and solder them back together. if you're having trouble thinking of a way to get the wires through the bars, i just take a piece of string and a small weight, run string through the bars, then attach the wires to the string and pull them through..
