Problem with Arlen Ness big sucker
Just installed the Arlen Ness "big sucker"on a 16 heritage. I was led to believe that the OEM cover would fit over the cleaner. Although I've got it to fit I had to use a different center bolt, as the OEM was too short. The cover does not lay flat enough to the filter for it to reach. The bolt I'm using looks terrible. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? The dealer doesn't have longer bolts.

While it looks like you found a solution (less than ideal), I would advise contacting the folks at Arlen Ness. Years ago, I had a big sucker unit crack on me. I called them, and they sent one out for free (shipping included) the same day. Great customer service.
In your case, I suspect one of a few possibilities has occurred:
1. Arlen Ness did not include a bolt or bracket that was supposed to come with your kit.
2. Arlen Ness sent the wrong part number.
3. You ordered the wrong part number.
4. You did not assemble the parts correctly (or left out a part).
5. Arlen Ness does not offer the kit for your model bike and you got a kit that was "close, but no cigar."
If Arlen Ness designed a kit for your model bike (and that is the part you ordered/was delivered), I would be very surprised if it required you to go to the store to buy additional parts to make it work correctly. Their stuff is usually very complete and well thought out.
Drop them a line, I would imagine they would be happy to help. That has been my experience with them. Keep us posted!

I ordered the same air filter....the naked version...for my 16 Heritage.
It is supposed to come with a spacer that goes between the filter and the cover. And it is also supposed to come with a new bolt and washer.
Call them and tell em' you need the spacer, bolt and washer. It fits when you put it all together.
