Default Need some help on tires...

I'm about to order some ME880 WW tires for my '03 Heritage. I'm looking for a TT (tube tire) or TL (Tubeless) in the descripton but can't find any. I have the stock wheels so I need tube tires. How can I tell if these are the right ones?

Metzeler ME880 Marathon Rear 150/80HB-16 WWW
Metzeler ME880 130/90HB-16 WWW Front

Any ideas?

I believe you can put a tube in any of these if necessary.

You can put a tube in a tubeless tire, but you can't run a tube type tire tubeless. So in your case, it's not going to matter which tire you get, you can run a tube in it. I know a few years ago, I had a 21" tube type metzler, and the tire shop told me to go ahead and run it tubeless. I called metzler, and was told what I posted above.

For the bigger and better knowntire manufacturers, tubeless tires have become thestandard with tube tires being the oddducks. So unless you see a notation for it, you can generallyassume the tire is rated as tubeless.

And like anubisss said there is no rule that says you can't put a tube in a tubless tire. Tubeless just means it doesn't need one, doesn't mean you can't use one. In the case of spoked bikewheels, tubes are almost always used becasue all the spoke holes in the rim make getting an air tight sealvery difficult without one.

Thanks for the help.

What is having the rims sealed all about? I understand what the basic concept would be, just curious on the details, pros/cons, etc.
