I went 10" overstock on all my cables and brake lines, only wish I woulda went about 9" over instead on the front brake line . * MAKE SURE you replace the handlebar bushings with the ploy ones, that will take alot of the sloppyness out of the bars, and run a single (1 piece ) top clamp

Default RE: Cable length?

I just finished an install on my 07 standard using wild 1 chubbies 16" and 2" risers. I dont have pics yet, but here's the part numbers that I used and everything worked great. I used magnum shielding chromite cables and novello wiring.

Dennis Kirk had everything in stock except for the clutch cable which I got direct from magnum shielding

throttle cable HC944 $47.99 37 7/8"
idle cable HC879 $47.99 38"
brake line H190248 $80.99 52" with 90 degree fittings each end
novello wiring 212832 $56.95 12" (note: If your bike is not an 07, you'll need a different part number, but 12" is ok length)

Magnum Shielding clutch cable 322214 $62.95

Hope this helps. I know I did a lot of searching on here and other forums before I pulled the trigger. I didnt want to order the bars, then test fit them to order cables. I wanted to do it all at the same time. Everything worked great except for getting the wrong wire harness the first time. These are different brands of bars, so I'm not sure how close they will be, but I would guess everything should be the same. Good luck..

Thanks alot ! That should get me going ! Now I have something to go on as far as measurements . I am ordering mine through an online dealer from Drag Specialties they have the cheapest price for what I am looking for . I forgot to say I have an 06 nighttrain so I would say the measurements 99embrey has should be what I'm lookin for . Thanks again [sm=smiley20.gif]
