Default Put Burnout Cycles Lowering Kit on Today...Problem

I had some extra time today so i decided to put on my burnout cycles lowering kit on my 08 FB. Everything went smooth and got it installed. I have the bike about as low as it will go and it looks super good. Didnt feel any rubbing, so i went for a ride. Didnt hit any major bumps or holes and really didnt feel like it bottomed out, just kinda rough and not much suspension travel. Well, got home and was cleaning the bike up and ran my finger along the rear fender edge on each side and noticed the throttle side was a lot closer than the clutch side and was almost hitting the tire. I Look from behind the bike and sure enough, the fender is sitting about a 1/4 inch offset to the clutch side. I really dont remember it being like this before i put the kit on, but then again it would be hard to tell because the bike sat so far off the fender. Im gonna raise it up about a 1/2 inch tomorrow just to be safe, but how do i realign that fender? Do you think that while riding the 20 or so miles today, i bottomed out causing this to happen? Hell i dunno, ive seen so many bikes on here that are just as low or lower and all say they have no problems. Suggestions please

Unless they changed for 08, this is normal.
They are all a bit off-center.

Not sure why though. If you do a search, you should see lots and lots of threads on this.

Thanks for the relief guys. I was actually pretty worried about it all night hahaha. I kept thinking of how many bikes on here are slammed and they all say they dont have any problems, why mine. Just didnt make sense. Oh well, guess ill live with it. I still think i'm going to raise it up about a 1/2 inch to be safe, its sittin pretty close to the tire on the edge. Thanks again

Since you had a qualified wrench on site that was in total control at all times[sm=badidea.gif] I wouldn't worry about anything. I think you spend to much time worrying and not enough time riding. [sm=yikesomg.gif]

You'll hit the bump-stops before your tire hits the inside of the fender.

Theres a pic of my bike in my sig now and yours is definitely lower dinger. I think ill leave it the way it is. I really like the way it sits now. Now all i need is my wheels. Hopefully in a couple months ill get them on. Goin with some hogpro lemans 18/19. Should look sweet.

You could loosen the fender strut bolts and "shift" the fender slightly. As the other guys stated, they are all that way.
Mine was off. When I went to the 140 rear tire, it was really noticeable. I have it within 1/8" now
