I bought an engine guard from them in November. Paid $130.50 with shipping. I didn't like the way it was packed (the tabs that bolt on down at the bottom of the frame were actually sticking through the box when received) but there was no damage. I have no complaints on the transaction.

Send them a message and specifically ask if it is a genuine Harley part? I doubt it will be. Lots of knock-off crap out there. And I don't mean aftermarket...I mean cheap knock-off being sold as genuine HD

Amen brother!

I have seen soooo many examples of that exact statement ring true. I am always suspicious when I see the "same thing" at half the price.

It came with a HD installation sheet, but that, obviously, doesn't mean a thing. Fitment was perfect and quality seems good. Time will tell. It was an auction, not a buy it now. Some guards for the softails have gone higher. Mine was a lower one. The guard can be bought through a HD dealer, like
Zanotti's on-line store for about $150 if you want to be absolutely sure its HD, but then you might also want to ask HD where it is manufactured. I generally agree that you get what you pay for. I'm not sure my $425 made in CHINA HD jacket, for example, is of superior quality and value.

I emailed exil. they said it is not HD. they say its 'aftermarket'. any problems so far with yours? im big on you get what you pay for, but dam HD is mega expensive. its nice to save a few bucks here and there if you can.[/blockquote]
