As you can see in my signature photo, I have removed my passenger pillion and theclear plastic paint protector.Now the white plastic washers that hold the seat mounting bracket and threadedstuds,stick out like a sore thumb. Those of you after the same look can identify with this.

I have looked through many posted threads from the forum search andIhaven't found anyregardinga replacement for the white plastic washers.

I'm planning on visiting a local fastener supplier, maybe they'll have asmaller diameter counterpart in soft BLACK plastic!

Anyone have information on alternatives?

 

I spray-painted both the washers and the fasteners then baked them in the oven for a little bit.

 

How about something like this?

Remeber a couple of months back. I had a fender bib on the bike. Never liked it.

I like the look of the painted fender!

 

Check Laidlaws tomorrow. They may have the same plastic washers in black behind the counter.

I found some custom ***** for the seat, they look great and only $20.00 for the set. They also carry the 3 fender studs for the holes left after taking off the pillion seat. I'll send you pics tomorrow.

Works fine, No problems.

I took a pen, marked a line around the part of the white plastic which stuck out past the seat bolts, took them off (did one at a time to stop the assembly from dropping onto the wheel) and cut just inside pen mark with sharp Stanley knife. Sprayed them black, put them back on - JOB DONE. Nothing sticks out now and the edges are black - same as my fender. Cost $NIL

 

I'll have to check mine but I think my hd brawler solo seat came with a black rubber washer
