Springer Seat On Heritage,, Drill Holes
I Have A Question, About Putting A Springer Seat On A 2003 Heritage.
If I Drill Two Holes And Put The Stud Plate in The Back Fender Will It Work Ok ?
You See I Already Have The Back Rest Pads High And Low ,, But They Won't Fit On My
V-Rail I Got From V-Twin Prod,
So Has Any One Done This ? If So Can I Get A Few Pictures Of It Please.
I Really Want The Back Rest Pads To Fit Right.
Any Help Will Be Greatly Apperciated
Thank You

RE: Springer Seat On Heritage,, Drill Holes
I saw the question at HSOA, figured I'd answer it here.....The springer rail will have two mounting points on the fender. There is a bracket with two threaded posts that feed up from under the fender are kept in place with plastic keepers. The rail sit on these threaded posts and are held down with thumbscrews. If your FLSTC does not have holes you will have to drll holes. You can line it up pretty easily by putting the seat in place an trace out the holes in the rail right onto the fender.
All stock Heritage Springer fenders have the holes already.

Any Heritage Springer seat 00-up will fit on the bike....The 2000 had fringe. 01-03 had no fringe.

Is This True ??? the curve of the fender is not the same, might put undo stress on the basepan?
And Do You Have The Part Number For The Seat Without The Fringe And The Part Number For The V-Rail For My 2003 Heritage Classic
Thanks
