I'm trying to decide which set of pipes to put on my 04 Hertiage Classic .

Has anyone heard a set of Vance & Hines Straightshot HS pipes? How do they sound versus a set of V&H Big Shot Staggered?

I really like the sound of the Big Shot Staggered but prefer the style of the Straightshots.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yep the staight shot goes blup blup blup blup, The staggered sounds like bluup bluup bluup

 

i just had bss installed on 07 heritage no complaints w/ sound or look.its just personal preferance.go to v&h website they have audio.imo cant go wrong w/ either

 

I have the Straight HS on my Springer, they are very nice.. They sound a touch deeper than non HS V&H pipes. I have sat next to my bro's radius and my dads short shots and the HS pipes have a larger set of nuts[sm=escape.gif]

 

I like the sound of the Straightshots over the Bigshots. If your bike is carburated and you run without baffles, they sound awesome but are loud.With baffles,sound good just not as loud.JMO.

 

I had Straight Shots on a Sportster, and Big Shots on a Deuce. I liked the sound of both. I think the Straight Shots might be just a bit deeper, though. You won't regret either set.

The big shots are not as loud...and I tried removing the baffles to hear how they sound...Did not like it at all...It was louder, but sounded more like a metric trying to sound like a Harley...It just sounded weak to me...With the exhaust companies trying to comply with noise standards...they are just ruining the sound IMO...

A Buddy has the V&H BSS and they sound really good and are as loud as I would like. I've also seen and am considering the BUB Rinehart Staggered, Cobra Dragsters and Cobra Speedsters Slashdowns.

Does anyone else have any comments on any of these pipes?
