Default Reactions by driving public to cross bones

What kind of reactions are other X-bones owners getting.
Seems almost everywhere I go on the new'cicle I get alot
of positive remarks, (ie. badass bike man, whoa that bike is cool, new or rebuilt cause it looks oldschool, etc.)
This reaction is not something I'm used to while riding.
I mean people rolling down their windows at stop lights to ask questions or comment.
Harley may have knocked it outta here with this one.

I'm not an old school lover at all, but I think HD has done anice job with this one.
The only place where HD screwed up is by using the 17" on the rear, and a 16" in the front.
It doesn't look right.
A wide 15" (ala Exile) or a wide 16" max should have been on the back.

Would I trade my bike for a cross Bones?
No...

That's why I love motorcycles...yesterday I rode up to the local mall and as I was leaving the security guard (about 70 years old) followed me out of the store b/c he saw my helmet in my hand. He yelled across the parking lot and asked what I was riding. I answered him and he came over and talked with me for about 10 minutes about motorcycles, and old 74 pan head on a paco frame he used to have and he showed me his current bike (a yamaha). I get stuff like this all the time.

Thestrangest thing that has happened was when I was riding down the highway and a guy pulled up next to me and stuck a digital camera out the window and snapped a pic, then pulled around to the other side and snapped another. That was weird.

benman. I get the same reactions from people everywhere around So Cal. I think the theme of the bike is so different, that people just assume it's a custom. Which is why I bought it. For me, add some pipes, move the plate, and it's done. I couldn't love it more. And I love the fact that there are so many different bikes and people. That's what makes owning a Harley so interesting and fun. For me at least..
