Advice on chipped paint
Hey guys i noticed i have a few spots on my bike that have the paint chipped on it. Whats the best way to go about painting them spots? Would you use some primer then let dry then use touch up paint or just put on touch up paint? Would the touch up paint stick for a long period of time without using some type of primer. Just want to get an idea how others have done this . I only have a few spots and they are very small. But i want to do something about them otherwise the metal will start to rust if i leave it the way it is.

RE: Advice on chipped paint
Get the touch up paint from your dealer. Use some fine grit sandpaper to clean up the spot a little. Be careful not to sand everything around it! Apply the paint with the provided brush or a toothpick if the spot is really small. Also, apply the clear coat that accompanies the touch up paint. I have a really gnarly spot I'm working on right now, so I am doing a lot more sanding and several layers of paint to smooth it out.I'm followng up with wet sanding,a rubbing compound, and then a polishing compound to smooth it out. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. Too bad I don't have a before picture. D'oh![:@]
