considering white walls for my black fatboy....keeping solid rims. Does a white wall "need" to have a wire wheel to achieve a traditional look. Have apes and considering fishtails so do I have to wire wheel it to finish look.

Sort of like the disc rims they distinguish bikeas a fatboy.Low maintenance
But will they look funny with white wall.

Anyone with pics.....opinions? Thanks

you cannot use solid wheels the white walls just get lost in the solid rim......

 

I almost bought a used 2001 red/sil Fatboy with 3000 mi, and solid wheels with WWW tires. Price was awesome, but I just couldn't get over the butt ugly white wall look and the dealer wouldn't swap the tires to BW's to finalize the sale. Sorry, WWW just don't belong on a Fatty IMO.......
However on a Deluxe, WWW's look absolutely awesome.....

Bottom line, it's your bike, and you do what you like best....

 

I actually kinda like it, get what you want, it's yours!

 

I have a skinny white wall in front. I will probably do the same in the back when I change it this summer. White letter is another possibilty.

 

I dont think it would look right with the solid wheels. Some spoked wheels and white walls would be off the hook!

If you paint the rims black it may look ok.
